Overview

Printers at Mt Aspiring College are PHYSICALLY managed by Ricoh, who are contactable through the office should there be a bad jam, or broken parts etc. They DO operate within our network however, and so issues like connectivity and charges fall within our responsibility.

Troubleshooting

Before Doing Anything Else

  • Ensure that all devices are powered on and connected.
  • Check the printer for any error messages, and make sure the paper you want is in the right trays.
  • Make sure your printing hasn't been mixed in with someone else's.
  • Check that your device is running PaperCut (School Owned computers only)
  • Try another printer. Not to deflect the issue, but to narrow it to either a printer or your device.

My Device Can't See Any Printers

  1. If it's a School-Owned (or leased) computer, ensure it's connected to the network (WiFi or Ethernet/Blue Cable)
  2. Restart the Computer.
    • Windows users will have the printers automatically added when they log in
    • Mac users will have to add the printers manually/with the IT Department.

If you're still having issues, contact the IT Department.

If IT aren't available and you need to print urgently, try Web Print put the document somewhere accessible (Google Drive/USB Drive), and log into another computer (Library/Staff Room etc) and print from there.
